FAQs
File Preparation
- Download our guides to ensure a more optimal print result.
- Be sure to DELETE any hidden layers that are not intended to print (ie: setup guide layers or other hidden artwork layers) to ensure no risk of them appearing on the final print.
- Each job (including multiple paged projects) must be submitted as a single PDF file. Ensure that all pages are the same size.
- Files must be submitted with proper orientation to ensure proper back up.
- It is best to try to avoid using borders in your design. If a border is too close to the trim, the trim may be slightly off-center.
- File must consist of 1/8" bleed and all important art and text must be within the safety margin.
- Ensure that your PDF is high res and that all images are CMYK at 300 DPI.
- Black type should have the following values: C0, M0, Y0, K100.
- Embed or outline all fonts.
- For best colour results, supply a CMYK only files.

File Preparation
Please submit print-ready artwork as a PDF. For best results, prepare the file in CMYK colour mode, use high-resolution images and follow the downloadable template or setup guide for the product you are ordering.
Bleed is artwork that extends beyond the final trim line. It prevents unwanted white edges when the printed piece is cut. Unless the product template states otherwise, extend backgrounds and images 1/8 inch beyond every edge that will be trimmed.
The safe area is the space inside the trim line where important text, logos and other essential content should remain. Keeping important elements inside this area reduces the risk of them appearing too close to the edge or being affected by normal cutting variation. Follow the safe-area guides shown in the product template.
Submit artwork in CMYK colour mode. RGB is designed for screens and can contain colours that cannot be reproduced exactly in print. Converting RGB artwork to CMYK may change the appearance of some colours.
Images should generally be 300 dpi at their final printed size. Lower-resolution images may appear soft or pixelated. Large-format requirements can vary because signs and banners are often viewed from farther away, so follow the instructions provided with the selected product template.
Yes. Outline or properly embed all fonts before exporting the final PDF. This helps prevent missing fonts, substitutions and unexpected changes to spacing or line breaks.
Small black text should normally use 100% black only: C0 M0 Y0 K100. This helps keep fine text sharp and avoids registration issues. Large solid black areas may require a different colour build, so review the applicable product guide before submitting your artwork.
Place the front and back as separate pages in one PDF, using the same page size and the correct orientation. Page one should be the front and page two should be the back. Check the product template carefully to confirm how the reverse side should be positioned.
Submit all pages in reading order as one multi-page PDF. Do not build printer spreads unless the product instructions specifically request them. Every page should have the same dimensions, required bleed and safe margins.
Cutting can vary slightly during production. A thin border positioned close to the trim may appear uneven even when the piece is within normal production tolerances. For the best result, remove the border or place it well inside the safe area.
Not exactly. Screens produce colour with light and vary by device, brightness and calibration, while commercial printing uses CMYK inks or toners. Printed colour can also vary slightly between stocks, finishes and separate production runs. A screen proof is useful for checking content and placement, but it is not an exact colour proof.
When a template is available, it can be downloaded from the applicable product page. Use the template for the exact size and options being ordered, and remove all guide layers and non-printing instructions before exporting the final PDF.
Artwork that does not match the selected size, bleed, colour mode or file requirements may delay production or produce an unexpected result. Review the product template and your final PDF carefully before submitting the order. Contact ReimerPrint before ordering if you need help determining whether your file is suitable.
Order Jobs
Select a product, choose the available size, quantity, stock, finishing and turnaround options, calculate shipping, upload your print-ready artwork and proceed through checkout. Review every selection carefully before completing the purchase.
Production turnaround begins after the order, payment and usable artwork have been received and the job is ready for production. Artwork problems, requested changes or missing information may delay the start of production.
No. Production turnaround is the estimated time required to manufacture the order before it is ready to ship. Carrier transit time begins after production is complete. Shipping methods and estimated delivery dates are displayed when shipping is calculated.
Production and delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees. Equipment issues, artwork problems, finishing requirements, carrier delays, weather, seasonal volume and other circumstances may affect timing. Place time-sensitive orders as early as possible.
Contact ReimerPrint as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. Changes or cancellations may be possible before production begins. Once materials, printing or finishing are underway, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible and charges may apply for work already completed.

Product FAQ
Coated paper has a smoother surface that usually produces sharper images and stronger-looking colour. Uncoated paper has a more natural paper texture and is generally easier to write on. The best choice depends on the design and how the printed piece will be used. Browse print products.
Choose a flyer for a concise message on a flat sheet, a brochure when information should be divided into folded panels, and a booklet when the content requires multiple bound pages. Consider the amount of information, how it should be read and how the piece will be distributed. Compare print products.
Heavy ink coverage, coated stocks and thicker paper can make cracking more visible along a fold. Keeping very dark colours away from the fold and selecting an appropriate stock and finishing configuration can help. Review the available product options before ordering. Review brochure options.
Use the template for the exact finished size and fold style. Confirm panel widths, front and back orientation, bleed and safe areas before designing. Some folds use unequal panel widths so the panels can nest correctly. View brochure options and templates.
A coordinated stationery set commonly includes letterhead and matching envelopes. Branded notepads can be added for office or promotional use, while businesses that create written transaction or service records may also require NCR forms. Browse stationery products.
NCR forms transfer information written on the top sheet to the sheets beneath it without carbon paper. They are commonly used for invoices, receipts, work orders, purchase orders, delivery records and service reports. View NCR forms.
Include the company logo, business name and essential contact information while preserving a large, uncluttered area for the letter or document. Keep the branding within the safe area and avoid extremely heavy colour coverage on uncoated paper. View letterhead options.
Select an envelope size that fits the intended contents without excessive folding or movement. Confirm whether a standard, security-tint, self-adhesive or window configuration is required, and use the matching template to position artwork correctly. View envelope options.
